The death of television actor Sanchita Ugale has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. Following reports of her alleged suicide, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has written to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, demanding a high-level investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

In its official statement, AICWA expressed deep sorrow over Ugale’s passing, describing it as a tragic loss of a promising young talent. The association noted that the actor’s career was steadily progressing, making her untimely death even more distressing and raising several serious questions that warrant a fair and transparent investigation.

AICWA President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta has urged Chief Minister Fadnavis to order a comprehensive probe into the case. He emphasized that every possible angle must be thoroughly examined before any conclusions are drawn. According to the association, several deaths and alleged suicide cases in the entertainment industry over recent years have left many unanswered questions, fueling public concern and speculation.

The organization has also appealed to the Maharashtra government to establish a dedicated committee to review the growing number of deaths and mental health-related crises within the entertainment industry. AICWA stated that the safety, welfare, support systems, and mental health resources available to artists and technicians require urgent assessment.

Reiterating its demand for justice, the association said that Sanchita Ugale’s family deserves a fair, independent, and transparent investigation, and that no aspect of the case should be overlooked in the pursuit of truth.

Police Investigation Underway

According to media reports, Sanchita Ugale was found dead at her residence in Nalasopara on Sunday evening. She was reportedly alone at home at the time. Police officials reached the scene after receiving information and initiated an investigation. Authorities said no suicide note was recovered, and no suspicious circumstances were observed during the preliminary inquiry.

Police have registered an accidental death case and launched an investigation into the circumstances leading to her death. Officials stated that Ugale’s father has neither alleged foul play nor held anyone responsible. Her body has been sent to a government hospital for postmortem examination.

Friend Opens Up About Her Health and Mental Health Struggles

Sanchita’s close friend and colleague Megha Sharma revealed that the actor had been battling health-related issues and depression for the past several months and was undergoing treatment.

According to Sharma, she had met Ugale just a few days before her death and found her optimistic about her future and career. While the actor occasionally spoke about her emotional struggles, her family and friends consistently encouraged and supported her through difficult times.

Active on Instagram Hours Before Her Death

Just hours before her death, Sanchita shared a video on Instagram in which she appeared cheerful and carefree. The stark contrast between her final social media post and the news of her sudden passing has left fans and members of the entertainment industry stunned and heartbroken.

If you or someone you know is experiencing emotional distress, depression, or thoughts of self-harm, seek immediate support from a mental health professional, crisis helpline, emergency services, or a trusted individual.
