With Pankaj Tripathi delivering a heartfelt performance and a touching story centered around India’s stray dogs, Ohh My Dog is a family entertainer that beautifully portrays the bond of trust, love, and loyalty between humans and animals. The film brings back the charm of wholesome family movies that children and adults can enjoy together.

The story begins in a small village in Assam, where young Apu (Maahi Rai) is devastated after his beloved dog, Momo, suddenly goes missing. Accompanied by his mother (Geeta Aggarwal Sharma), he visits the local police station to file a complaint. Although a police officer (Vijay Mishra) eventually starts taking the case seriously, Apu decides not to wait. With the support of his teacher (Sulakhyana Baruah), he launches his own search for Momo. His sharp observations and detective-like instincts make the journey both engaging and entertaining.

Meanwhile, another storyline unfolds in Bihar, where a construction worker mysteriously disappears. The stray dog he once cared for refuses to give up on him and sets out to find its owner. Along the way, the dog brings several people together, including Pankaj Tripathi’s compassionate teacher, who dedicates himself to educating young laborers living far from their families. On the other hand, a local police officer (Rajesh Kumar) appears largely indifferent, showing little urgency in searching for either the missing man or the missing animals.

One of the film’s biggest strengths is its portrayal of ordinary Indian stray dogs. Instead of featuring expensive pedigree breeds, the story celebrates the courage, loyalty, and never-give-up attitude of street dogs, making them the true heroes of the film. Oscar, with his distinctive coat, injured paw, and signature red scarf, stands out as one of the most memorable characters.

As the investigation moves forward, Apu and his companions gradually uncover a criminal network linked to kidnappings and other illegal activities. The film maintains a sense of suspense without becoming too frightening for younger audiences. Veteran actor Pawan Malhotra appears as a tough and experienced senior police officer who joins the rescue mission, while Rajesh Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi add depth to the story with their sincere and natural performances.

At times, the film slows down by overexplaining its message, which slightly affects the pacing. A few religious references also feel unnecessary, though they remain minimal. Despite these minor flaws, the emotional heart of the film never fades. The genuine friendship and unwavering bond between Apu, Momo, and Oscar become the soul of Ohh My Dog, making it a touching and enjoyable cinematic experience for children and the entire family.
