Actress Shilpa Shinde, who is currently participating in the reality show Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, recently revisited one of the most difficult phases of her career. She revealed that after leaving Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, she had to deal with continuous controversies, mental harassment, and damaging rumors. During a conversation with fellow contestant Varun Yadav, Shilpa claimed that a fake MMS was circulated online using her name.

What Did Shilpa Shinde Say About the Alleged Fake MMS?

Recalling the events of 2015–16, Shilpa said that after her exit from the popular sitcom, she found herself constantly targeted and felt as though she had no way to defend herself.

She shared that one day, a journalist sent her a video, claiming it featured her. Initially, Shilpa panicked, fearing it might have been secretly recorded in a private place, such as her changing room.

Shilpa recalled, “As the video was downloading, I kept thinking that it might have been filmed in my changing room or somewhere similar. My blood ran cold at that moment.”

However, after watching the clip, she realized it was a blurred video showing a man and a woman in an intimate situation. Shilpa immediately denied that the woman in the video was her and said it had no connection to her personal life.

Cyber Cell Investigation Revealed the Truth

According to Shilpa, the journalist even asked whether the video should be published. Shocked by the situation, she approached the cyber cell, where she reportedly spent several hours assisting with the investigation.

The actress claimed that investigators discovered the footage had been taken from an adult website. According to her, specific freeze frames of the woman in the video were selected, blurred, and edited to resemble her before being circulated online with false claims that it was Shilpa Shinde’s leaked MMS.

Her Family Was Also Affected

Shilpa said the controversy deeply impacted her family as well.

She revealed that even her mother was questioned about the alleged MMS. According to the actress, their society’s watchman also asked her mother whether her daughter’s MMS had been leaked.

Shilpa said it was heartbreaking to see baseless rumors spread without any verification and added that the entire episode caused her immense mental distress.

Legal Challenges Before Bigg Boss 11

Shilpa also claimed that her troubles did not end there. Before entering Bigg Boss 11, she said a criminal case was filed against her, forcing her to obtain bail before participating in the reality show.

She described that period as one of the toughest phases of her personal and professional life, saying she was dealing with continuous legal and emotional challenges.

The Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain Dispute and What Followed

Shilpa Shinde quit Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain in 2016 following disagreements with the show’s makers over an exclusive contract, payment issues, and other contractual disputes.

During the controversy, she had also accused producer Sanjay Kohli of sexual harassment. However, earlier this year, during Bharti Singh’s podcast, Shilpa admitted that the allegation she had made was false. The legal dispute between both parties was later settled outside court.

Shilpa further revealed that after she publicly clarified the matter, producers Benaifer Kohli and Sanjay Kohli personally called her and thanked her for speaking the truth.

Now, on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, Shilpa Shinde continues to revisit the controversies that shaped her career, sharing her side of the story and offering viewers a deeper insight into the challenges she says she faced over the years.
