Hero Vida has expanded its electric scooter portfolio in India with the launch of the Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh, priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant comes with a larger battery pack, delivering a significant improvement in riding range while retaining the same motor and performance as the existing VX2 Plus 3.4kWh model.
What’s New in the Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh?
The biggest highlight of the new Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh is its dual removable 2.2kWh battery packs, offering a combined battery capacity of 4.4kWh. Hero Vida claims the scooter delivers an IDC-certified range of 187km, a substantial increase over the 146km claimed by the 3.4kWh variant.
The scooter also comes with a new 1kW portable charger, which is nearly twice as powerful as the charger supplied with the previous model. Using the portable charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 3 hours and 17 minutes, while a full 0 to 100 percent charge takes 5 hours and 8 minutes.
In addition, the scooter supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 0 to 80 percent in just 65 minutes, while a complete charge takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes. Hero Vida says it currently operates more than 6,000 fast-charging stations across India.
Performance and Features Remain Unchanged
Apart from the larger battery pack, the rest of the scooter remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 6kW electric motor that produces 26Nm of peak torque and delivers a claimed top speed of 90km/h.
The scooter offers Eco, Ride, and Sport riding modes, along with a Boost Mode that provides extra power when needed for quicker acceleration or overtaking. Other key features include a 4.3-inch TFT instrument display, smartphone connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation.
Availability
Hero Vida has confirmed that the Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh will be available at authorised dealerships across India by the end of July 2026.
Alongside the launch, the company also announced that the scooter has earned an Asia Book of Records recognition for completing the “Longest Journey by an Electric Scooter.” Using the new Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh, the record-setting ride covered 12,111km across India in 52 consecutive days.
