Samsung is preparing to introduce some premium artificial intelligence features, initially introduced as part of the Galaxy S26 lineup, to its older smartphone models through the release of the One UI 8.5 beta update.

New Galaxy S26 Features on Older Samsung Models

As reported by SamMobile, a new internal One UI 8.5 beta build indicates that Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy S25 series phones will receive some advanced features, such as:

Enhanced Audio Eraser – Separates sounds and noises for better listening experience when watching YouTube videos, Netflix shows, and Instagram Reels.
Creative Studio – An AI-based generative editor for sketches that can turn your raw sketch into stunning digital art or modify images in any way you wish.
Photo Assist – Allows users to modify their photos and images using artificial intelligence.
Call Screening – An AI-powered call screener which takes calls from unknown numbers, transcribes them in real-time, and allows deciding whether to answer or not.
Bixby Powered by Perplexity AI

In addition, the update will feature an enhanced Bixby, working in partnership with Perplexity AI.

Example:

“my eyes are strained” – triggers Eye Comfort Shield feature.
“brightness issues” – allows activating Extra Dim mode.
Users are also able to ask Bixby to monitor battery condition or activate hotspot or other features without going into settings.
Samsung’s Ambitions with AI

Samsung has been constantly striving to create an AI ecosystem. The company’s plan since 2024 is to offer their Galaxy AI capabilities to more than 100 million people. Advanced solutions would not be offered only for their latest models but for different generations of devices.
